The Property Management Office supports the Director of Materials Management with maintaining appropriate Property Control, described in UPSS No. 05.01.01, as follows:
The Director of Materials Management maintains records of the property inventory of each Department Head adding new items and removing deleted and transferred items. In early May of each year the Director of Materials Management, mails out a departmental listing of property to each account manager along with instructions for conducting the required annual inventory. The Department Head is responsible for conducting an accurate annual inventory and for reporting the same as listed in the inventory instructions.
